Angry Sprunki: First Click Fun with Friends
Hey, so I was browsing and found this thing called Angry Sprunki. Looked like those other music clicker games but with, well, grumpier-looking blobs? My friend was over and we were like, "Let"s just mess around for five minutes."
Turns out, it"s exactly what you think: drag the little guys into the slots, they start making noises. Some beep, some go "wub wub," and there"s this one orange dude that just sounds like a robot clearing its throat. The whole point seems to be just... seeing what happens when you mix them. My browser"s autofill now suggests "sprunki" before my actual email address. That"s how much I"ve been clicking lately.
We had this challenge: who could make the absolute weirdest, most ridiculous 10-second loop. My friend stacked three high-pitched beepers and got something that made the cat leave the room. I won by making a combo that sounded like a fax machine arguing with a dial-up modem. There"s a specific type of headache you get from too much high-pitched beeping. Worth it.
The game doesn"t try to teach you music theory, which is kind of the best part. You just throw stuff together. My partner asked "Are you making music or torturing that computer?" Both. It"s less about making a "good" song and more about the surprise. That green square you drag? Might give you a bass drop. The blue wiggly line? Could be a shaker or could be a laser sound. You just gotta click.
If you"re new to this whole Sprunki/Incredibox world, Angry Sprunki is a pretty chill place to start. The goal is simple: make noise. Any noise. The angrier it sounds, the better, I guess? I judge a mod by how long it takes me to get bored. This one: 15 minutes. Not bad. We probably spent half an hour just laughing at the horrible/awesome sounds we created.
Someone made a Sprunki iceberg meme. The bottom layer is terrifying. I don"t think we"re there yet with Angry Sprunki, but it feels like we"re on the first layer.

So yeah, that"s Angry Sprunki. It"s dumb, it"s simple, and it"s a good way to kill time with a friend. What are the basic controls? Click and drag. How many characters? Enough to make a mess. Does it teach music theory? Nope. Can you mix lots of layers? Yeah, until it sounds beautifully terrible. Go make some angry beeps.
