Deric Yellow Sprunki OC: A Hand-Crafted Scratch Project

“Deric Yellow Sprunki OC” is a personal and transparently shared creation built on Scratch. The creator provides important technical notes upfront: the animation timing might be off and only sync correctly about half the time (clicking the flag three times may help), and the volume control might need manual softening if it feels overpowering. They openly describe the code as “extremely spaghetti,” apologizing for its complexity, and mention that bisected versions of the voice might exist within it.

Art, Sound & Character Details

Despite the coding challenges, the creator is proud that the hand-drawn art turned out well, even if slightly asymmetrical. The character does not have a predefined gender and is open to player interpretation. The mod features unique “comparison tracks” painstakingly recreated by hand in Beepbox to sound accurate, with full credit given to the original Sprunki creators.

A standout feature is the “WrongSpookyOokyRunAway” version, intended to depict the character after being struck by lightning, resulting in a mangled appearance and an instrument swap to an electric guitar. The creator humorously notes the gruesome image research this required. This mod represents a passionate, DIY return to Scratch and game creation, wearing its creative process on its sleeve.
