STABLE Friday Night Funkin Remake

STABLE Friday Night Funkin Remake: Pioneering Online Multiplayer

This "STABLE Friday Night Funkin Remake" is a bold community project that does more than recreate the original—it aims to add a groundbreaking feature: online multiplayer. Step into a rhythm duel against real opponents, but be prepared for a raw, developmental experience as you test this ambitious functionality.

Experimental Online Play & Important Caveats

The core appeal is the in-development online versus mode. This is a complex addition for an FNF fangame, and the creator is transparent about its current state. Key points for players: the matchmaking interface (opened with the 'O' key) can be slow, taking time to pick usernames. Crucially, the game is designed to crash automatically if a "desync" (a loss of synchronization between players) occurs, requiring a restart. This project is proudly in early access, so encountering bugs is part of the experience.

Current Scope, Future Vision, and Family-Friendly Adjustments

The available gameplay is currently focused on one hard-difficulty tutorial stage, used to test the online systems. Controls are simple: arrow keys to sing, Space to confirm, and 'R' to play as the rival character from the menu. Looking ahead, the developer considers adding formal versus/co-op modes and a low-detail setting. Notably, the project plans to modify the original game's content for a wider audience by toning down or removing certain intense or violent visual elements from sprites and backgrounds.

This remake is a fascinating experiment for players keen on the future of online rhythm games and the FNF modding scene's technical frontiers. It's a direct tribute to the original work of ninjamuffin99 and PhantomArcade, while forging its own path.
