Cancer Shooter: Arcade Game with a Cause

Cancer Shooter combines fast-paced arcade action with an important awareness message. Take control of a defense system and target incoming purple orbs that symbolize cancer tumors.

Gameplay & Controls

Primary Fire: Hold down the left mouse button to shoot continuously and destroy the tumor orbs.
Power-Ups: Collect special items to temporarily upgrade your weapon to a more powerful laser, helping you clear clusters faster.
Difficulty Scaling: The game introduces a realistic challenge: larger tumors are significantly harder to destroy, requiring more precise and sustained fire.

More Than Just a Game

While providing entertaining shooter mechanics, Cancer Shooter serves as a conversation starter about health. It highlights a crucial fact about colorectal cancer: it is often preventable with early screening. The game explicitly encourages players to consult their doctors about screening options, translating gameplay into positive real-world action. Credits for this thoughtful project go to @yoshihome for programming and @radscience for the laser visual effects.
