Okay so I needed some background noise while working, didn't want music with lyrics distracting me. Clicked on this "sprunki msi phase 1.5" thing mostly because the name made zero sense to me. MSI? Like the computer brand? Phase 1.5? What even is a half-phase?
This feels like the soundtrack to a rainy day in a cyberpunk city. Which is weirdly specific but accurate. There's this metallic tinge to some of the sounds that gives it that industrial vibe.
Here's the cool thing I discovered: the order you place icons actually changes things! Like, not just which icons, but WHICH ORDER you drag them in. I tried making the same three-icon combo but in different sequences, and they sounded... different. Not massively different, but noticeably. One order gave more emphasis to the bass, another made the high-pitched sounds more prominent.
Perfect for when you're waiting for a download and need something to click. Which I was, ironically. Browser updates haven't broken this one yet, which is good - some of these mods get finicky when Chrome decides to update.
So I tried a challenge: make something that sounds like rain. You know, just clicking around trying to get that pitter-patter sound. Got close-ish? There's this one icon that makes a soft tap-tap sound that, if you loop it right, kinda mimics light rain. Add another with a deeper whoosh for wind... not perfect, but fun to try.
The colors give off "3 AM hyperfocus session" energy. Dark blues and purples with bright neon accents. Easy on the eyes when you're just wanting something in the background.
I don't know if there are regular community challenges for this specific version, but the idea of having challenges based on icon placement order would be cool. Like "make the best combo using icons in alphabetical order" or something equally silly.
This is what plays in the background of a retro futuristic diner. Or at least, that's what I imagine. The whole MSI theme gives it this techy aesthetic that works surprisingly well for just... having on in another tab while you do other things.

TL;DR: It's a chill background noise generator where how you arrange things actually makes a difference. Worth a few clicks when you need something mindless-but-not-completely-brainless to do.
