Sprunki Phase 25: The Mid-Twenties Crisis of Sound
Okay so Phase 25 exists. Honestly I didn't even know there WERE 25 phases until I stumbled on this. I was taking a quick break between work tasks (you know, that 10-minute gap where you're supposed to stretch but end up clicking on colorful icons instead) and found this.
#463 My foot is tapping along involuntarily. It has its own opinions. That's what happens with Phase 25 - the rhythm gets into your bones and suddenly your body's making decisions without consulting your brain.
#470 There's a specific fatigue that sets in after the 20th combo attempt. But in a good way? Like you've been mentally rearranging puzzle pieces and your brain needs a nap.
#477 My fingers are memorizing the mouse movements through muscle memory. After a while, you don't even look at the screen - your hand just knows where to drag which icon to get that one specific sound you like.
#484 I can feel the rhythm in my teeth somehow. Weird. But true. When you find a good combo in Phase 25, it vibrates in your whole head. Or maybe that's just me needing to see a dentist.
#491 My fingers know the sound each icon makes before I click it. That's when you know you've played too much. But also when the real fun begins - you can predict what combinations will work.
Here's what I do: try to make something that makes me smile within one minute. Just a quick, silly little tune. Doesn't have to be good - just has to make me go "heh." The challenge is the time limit. Makes you make weird choices you wouldn't normally make.
If you're into this kind of thing (and if you're here reading about Phase 25, you probably are), you should definitely check out more Sprunki games. There's like... hundreds. Also if you want something quick and free, these free ones are good for beginners. And obviously you need to see the main Incredibox Sprunki page.
Some questions that popped up: What's Sprunki's legacy in browser game history anyway? Like, will people remember this in 10 years? Also, are there difficulty levels? I feel like some phases are harder than others but nobody talks about it. What's the average play session? Mine are either 2 minutes or 2 hours, no in-between. And do these games have leaderboards? That would be weird but also kind of fun.
Anyway, Phase 25. It's a thing. It makes noises. Sometimes good noises. Try it when you have a spare minute (or hour).
