Sprunki4: When Numbers Meet Noise
Okay so listen, my friend showed me this Sprunki4 thing during a coffee break and I was like "wait, there's a Sprunki 4?" Apparently yes, and it's been here this whole time. It's that clicky music game where you make beats by dragging little icons.
There's a specific hour of the night (3 AM) where every Sprunki mod sounds like a masterpiece. This one feels like a 3 PM version though - more "waiting for a meeting to start" energy than "digital art revelation."
If you've never played these games before (same), it's basically: colorful things make sounds when you click them. Arrange them in different ways, get different noises. Sometimes it sounds good, sometimes it sounds like a robot trying to do stand-up comedy.
I've played so many mods that the original now sounds "wrong" to me. Sprunki4 feels... nostalgic? Like finding an old CD-ROM game in your attic that still works somehow.
Is there controller support for this? Absolutely not. You're stuck with mouse and keyboard like the rest of us peasants. My wrist is already complaining and I've only been playing for 10 minutes.
My computer fan whirs in harmony with the higher-pitched sounds. Free accompaniment. It's like the game brought its own backup singer.
Are there pre-made song templates? Nope. You're on your own here, buddy. It's the wild west of sound creation. Sometimes you make gold, sometimes you make... whatever that was I just made. Sounded like a fax machine arguing with a microwave.
My phone's autocorrect now suggests "Sprunki" as a real word. It's not wrong. At this point, Sprunki is more real than half the things in my life.
What features are most/least used? I have no idea, but I bet the "making actually good music" feature is pretty underutilized based on my attempts. Mostly I just click things randomly and hope for the best.
There's a specific type of headache you get from too much high-pitched beeping. I'm not there yet, but I can feel it coming. Like a tiny digital angel whispering "take a break" directly into my brain.
