Block Dash: A Test of Reflexes and Control

Block Dash is a fast-paced, skill-based arcade game that challenges your timing and precision. Control a simple grey square and survive as long as you can against an endless barrage of falling blocks.

Gameplay & Controls

Use your arrow keys to move the grey square left and right. Your only goal is to avoid the falling black blocks and the edges of the screen. Contact with any obstacle results in an immediate game over. As you successfully dodge, a progress bar in the top-left corner fills up, indicating your advancement through the level. Every level features a new, randomly generated pattern, keeping the gameplay fresh and unpredictable.

Key Features & Anti-Cheat Pause

The game received a significant update on July 10, 2015, which fixed a restart bug and added essential quality-of-life features. The most notable addition is the pause function, activated by pressing the 'P' key. However, unpausing is designed to prevent cheating: you must click directly on your player character with the mouse and then press 'P' again to resume. This ensures fair play by stopping players from pausing to strategically reposition their cursor.

Master the Dash

Block Dash offers pure, unadulterated challenge. It’s a game about razor-sharp reflexes, steady nerves, and learning patterns. There are no power-ups or extra lives—just you, the blocks, and your ability to react. Think you have what it takes? Play Block Dash for free online and compete to set a new high score in this classic dodging game.
