Geometry Dash 2.2 Vertical Mode - Experience the Future

Geometry Dash 2.2 Vertical Mode brings one of the most anticipated features from the upcoming 2.2 update to your browser. This fan-made implementation explores vertical platforming, where levels extend upward instead of just horizontally, creating new possibilities for level design and gameplay.

Vertical Gameplay Mechanics

Unlike traditional Geometry Dash levels that scroll from left to right, vertical mode introduces upward scrolling sections where you must navigate through obstacles while rising. This changes the rhythm and spatial awareness required, as you must plan movements in a vertical plane. The core controls remain familiar—jump with space, click, or UP arrow—but their application in vertical space feels fresh and challenging.

The 2.2 Hype

The Geometry Dash community has awaited update 2.2 for years, with platformer mode and vertical levels being among the most discussed features. This vertical mode implementation lets players sample what's to come while creators experiment with new level designs. After mastering vertical challenges, explore other 2.2-inspired creations like Geometry Dash 2.2 Platformer Mode or Geometry Dash 2.2 Scratch Remake.
