Incredibox Sprunki Modded by Titus: When Someone Gets Really Specific With Their Beeps
I spent 20 minutes trying to make a beat that didn't sound like a broken washing machine. Failed. This is how my journey with Titus' mod began. If you're looking for creative inspiration or just some background noise that you technically "made," buckle up.
I once dreamt about the characters. Gray was chasing me. Woke up stressed. Not this mod specifically, but the memory came back when I saw the color palette. Titus uses a lot of... let's call it "aggressive pastels."
Once tried to make a Sprunki cover of a pop song. Sounded like a robot having a seizure. With Titus' version, I managed something that sounded like a robot having a seizure but with better rhythm. Progress?
Okay so here's the thing about "modded by [person]" versions: they have personality. Sometimes too much personality. Like you can tell exactly what sounds the creator likes, what their sense of humor is, what they think "good music" sounds like. Titus seems to like... bouncy. Everything bounces. Visually, audibly, probably spiritually.
If you're in that "need background noise but music is too distracting" mode (we all get there), this might work. The sounds are layered weird. Sometimes they cancel each other out. Sometimes they create something accidentally beautiful. The animation for this character is 2 frames off sync. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. But in a charming "handmade" way?
My challenge to you (and myself): create the WEIRDEST sound possible. Not bad-weird. Interesting-weird. The kind that makes you go "huh, that's... a choice." Here's my attempt:
First, the purple blobby thing that goes *wub-wub-wub* but like, sad wubs. There's a specific satisfaction when two icons sync perfectly. Better than coffee. Second, the orange zigzag that does a *plink-plink* noise but delayed. The sounds have different latency. Some play instantly, some have delay. Use this! Make it chaotic!
Third, whatever that green... is it a plant? A creature? It makes a *shwoop* noise that rises in pitch. My brain now defaults to "review mode" for everything I interact with. I've started seeing musical patterns in everyday life because of this. My kettle whistling? Could be a Sprunki sound. Car alarm? Definitely Sprunki material.
The character designs have more thought than my life plans. No really. Someone sat down and decided "this one will have three eyes and bounce diagonally" and I'm over here struggling to decide what to have for lunch.
There's a specific joy in discovering a new mod before it gets popular. This feels like that moment. Titus isn't one of the "big name" modders (yet), but there's something here. I can tell when a modder put love into it vs. just slapping sounds together. This has love. Maybe too much love. The UI has a shadow that follows your mouse. Unnecessary but fun. Exactly.
For comparison or inspiration: check out the original Phase 3 to see where this all started. Or maybe the definitive versions for a more polished experience.
Things you might wonder: How many sound packs/characters are included? (Enough to be interesting, not enough to be overwhelming.) Can I import my own sounds? (No, but you can imagine your own!) What's the audio quality/bitrate? (It's... fine. It's browser game audio.) Are there Easter eggs or hidden content? (Probably! Click everything!)
My review templates have evolved through 50+ iterations. I've developed pet peeves about specific UI elements across all mods. This one avoids most of them except the tooltip that appears for 0.2 seconds then disappears. Helpful. Not.
Anyway. Titus. Good name. Good mod. Weird sounds. Creative potential. Your turn to make something that sounds like a robot falling in love with a fax machine. Or whatever.
Background noise achieved. Brain slightly inspired. Wrist slightly sore. Worth it.
