Osu School: A Glimpse into a Rhythm Game Prototype

Osu School presents itself not as a finished game, but as an intriguing conceptual testbed for rhythm game mechanics. Inspired by popular titles like osu!mania and Quaver, this project outlines ambitious future plans for browser-based rhythm gaming.

Planned Features & Current State

The vision for Osu School includes the implementation of actual playable songs, functional cloud-based variables for data persistence, fully customizable control schemes, and various visual effects. Currently, it operates with the DFJK keys as its primary control method, serving more as a basic reaction-speed test than a full-fledged rhythm game.

Developer Notes & Alternatives

The creator transparently states that active development is on hold, framing Osu School as a public blueprint or a learning experiment in game design. For players seeking an immediate and more complete osu!mania-style experience directly in the browser, the description points to an alternative Scratch project praised as a "better mania game".
