ScratchBeats Reborn Testing

ScratchBeats Reborn Testing: A Browser-Based Rhythm Game Showcase

“ScratchBeats Reborn Testing” is a dedicated rhythm game project built for the browser, showcasing advanced charting within the Scratch ecosystem. For the optimal experience, it is recommended to play the Dynamic FPS version on Forkphorus, which ensures smoother performance by compiling the project to JavaScript.

Challenging & Detailed Song Library

The core of this test build is its impressive and transparent song list. It features 20 meticulously charted tracks from renowned artists in the rhythm game community:

Camellia - Singularity, Towards the Horizon
BEMANI ST - TWO-TORIAL
Sun3 - Perfect Cherry Storm
Ice - Entrance

Each song includes a star difficulty rating (⭐1.39 to ⭐5.41) and, crucially, mechanic-specific tags:

[LN] - Contains Long Notes requiring sustained holds.
[SV⏩] - Features Sudden Velocity (speed) changes, testing your reading skills.
[7K⌨️] - Designed for a 7-key keyboard layout, expanding beyond the standard 4 keys.

Gameplay & Controls

This is a vertical scrolling rhythm game. While the exact key bindings are not specified in the description, players familiar with the genre can expect controls typical for 4-key (4K) and 7-key (7K) layouts, such as using keys like DFJK or similar. The detailed chart tags allow you to choose a map that matches your skill and desired challenge type, from straightforward timing tests to complex technical patterns.

Project Status & Credits

As a “Testing” version, this project highlights what's possible with rhythm game creation in Scratch. It credits osu! as an inspiration for the genre. To explore the project's source, you can visit the original Scratch project page. For rhythm enthusiasts seeking a browser-based challenge with clear mechanical depth, ScratchBeats Reborn Testing is a compelling technical demo.
