Osu Mania

Osu Mania on Scratch: A Fully Customizable 4K Rhythm Simulator

Experience the precision of osu!mania directly in your browser with this advanced Scratch-based simulator. This project, building upon the work of @infinityhours and @OliBomby, delivers a clean playfield optimized for focused gameplay. For the best performance and high FPS, playing on Turbowarp is highly recommended.

Core Gameplay & Controls

Match the falling notes by pressing the corresponding keys as they hit the strike line. Default controls are D, F, J, and K for the four columns. Notes with extended lines are hold notes; press and hold the key until the tail passes. You can instantly quit any map by pressing P. All key bindings are fully customizable through the in-depth options menu.

Extensive Customization: Beatmaps and Skins

This simulator's standout feature is its deep support for user-generated content.

Add Your Own Beatmaps: You can import any 4K osu!mania .osu file. The process involves copying the map data from the osu! editor, formatting it for Scratch by adding "/n" line breaks, and importing it via the 'Map Master' sprite. You'll also need to add the corresponding audio file and background image.
Create or Import Skins: Fully customize the visual appearance. You can edit the note and receptor sprites directly or import existing osu! skin assets (receptor images require a simple crop). Adding a new skin involves creating sprites with a specific naming convention and editing the 'Option Note Skin' selector.
Visual Options: Quickly change note colors using provided hex codes like 25500 (dark orange) or 100149237 (indigo purple).

With its robust customization tools and faithful gameplay, this osu!mania simulator is more than just a game—it's a versatile platform for players to practice with their favorite maps and express their creativity through skins, all accessible for free online.
