whatdo you guys think of my balls oc
My Balls OC: Please Be Nice I Worked Really Hard On This
okay so im trying to get into that flow state thing. you know, where everything clicks and you just... become one with the game. interactive meditation, they call it. sounds cool.
im doing a focused practice session on this one specific section. like, not even trying to clear the whole level, just this ONE PART that keeps messing me up. over and over. until i get it right.
but first... i need to understand what this even IS. like, ive played for maybe 5 minutes total? what is this game ABOUT? you press a button to a rhythm? okay cool. but then theres all this geometry and... balls?
so this level is called "whatdo you guys think of my balls oc". original character, i guess? someone made their own... ball design? and wants feedback? thats cute actually.
OHMYGOD DID YOU SEE THAT SYNC MOMENT??? AAAAAHHHH!!! when the beat dropped and the ball did that spin thing and everything lined up PERFECTLY!!! im gushing, i cant help it! that was SO COOL!
the visual language of tracks has such a steep learning curve tho. some levels are intuitive - you look at it and you just... get it. others feel alien. like youre decoding a foreign language. this one is somewhere in between?
some tracks are definitely better on the second playthrough. once you know the gimmick. the first time youre confused, the second time youre like "ohhh i see what they did there".
and the math behind it all! like, when the track geometry is literally derived from the songs BPM and time signature... thats wild. someone sat down and did MATH to make this. respect.
so questions while im gushing: what ACTUALLY makes ADOFAI unique compared to other rhythm games? like, theres so many. whats special about this one? and are there psychological benefits to playing? like, does it actually help with anything or am i just wasting time?
my balls oc level is... charming. its someone's creation. their original thing. and theyre asking for opinions. thats brave. as a flow state seeker just trying to understand the game... its a good starting point. focused practice on one section, appreciate the sync moments, try not to overthink it.
please be nice to their balls oc. they worked hard.
