Neko Mania In Progress

Neko Mania In Progress: A Sweet Alpha Rhythm Catcher

Welcome to "Neko Mania In Progress", a delightful fan-made game in Alpha, directly inspired by the popular osu! Catch the Beat mode. Control a cute character and catch a shower of sweets in this evolving project.

Gameplay & Core Mechanics

Your goal is simple: catch desserts falling from the sky using left and right arrow keys to move. The spacebar provides a speed boost for tricky maneuvers. The main threat is the large cake; missing it will cost you one of your three lives. However, the game offers a chance for recovery, as every 100-combo milestone replenishes one life. Don't forget the strawberries—they are optional but grant valuable bonus points. Use the P key to pause and U to unpause your sugary adventure.

Current Development State & Notes

As an Alpha version, players should be aware of its work-in-progress nature. The developer has noted several current bugs, including the combo bar resetting, the pause function not working correctly, and music/sound effects not playing when uploaded. The public to-do list includes adding music, sound effects, a better scoreboard, and refining the rhythm and combo systems. The sprites are edited from online images, and the developer recommends playing in full-screen mode for optimal enjoyment. Your feedback is welcomed to help shape this charming game's future.
