Osu Mania V3 - Other Songs: A Customizable Scratch Experience

Experience a community-driven version of osu!mania built in Scratch with the ‘Osu Mania V3 - Other Songs’ project. This version includes a small, curated song list, updated as of June 1st, 2023, with tracks like “Scattered Faith - Kurokotei” bringing the total to three playable maps. For the optimal, high-performance rhythm gaming session, it is highly recommended to play this project through external platforms like TurboWarp or forkphorus, which compile it for smoother execution.

Gameplay & Controls

Master the key-based gameplay using the default controls—D, F, J, K for hitting notes and P for an instant map exit—with the full freedom to remap every key in the options menu. The core objective remains precise: press the correct key as the note aligns with the receptor at the bottom of the column, and hold for the duration of elongated hold notes.

Create & Customize Your Own Content

Beyond playing, this project stands out for its extensive customization and creation tools. It provides a complete, step-by-step guide for ambitious players to import their own 4K osu!mania beatmaps. The process involves extracting data from .osu files, formatting it for Scratch, and importing songs and backgrounds.

Furthermore, you can customize the visual experience by editing sprite assets to create new note skins or even import assets directly from existing osu! skins, with specific instructions for preparing receptor images. A handy color code table is also included for tweaking the skin's palette, offering shades from dark orange (25500) to deep blue (1352220).
