They changed everything β the note colors won't burn your eyes (maybe), the background is something else, and they even let you smash the SPACEBAR alongside the classic Z and X keys. The music speed, note placementβ¦ all tweaked.
It's weirdly cathartic, you know? The act of clicking circles to this tune. It feels like you're archiving something, saving a replay of your struggle like it's some precious artifact for future you to cringe at. And let's be real, half the fun of watching osu! clips is the ASMR of the keyboard taps. Imagine that, but it's your keyboard making the music.
This game feels like one of those pieces of hardware that wasn't made for osu! but somehow ended up being perfect for it. It just works.
