Osu V0.1 Release

Osu V0.1 Release: Browser-Based Rhythm Game Adaptation

Experience osu! mania gameplay directly in your browser with this Scratch-based adaptation. Master the falling note mechanics using customizable D, F, J, K control keys - each precisely mapped to corresponding columns. Time your presses exactly when circles align with receptors for maximum accuracy scores.

Optimized Performance & Custom Controls

Reduce input lag significantly by accessing the dedicated performance mirror at https://forkphorus.github.io/#220672247 and disabling the Fancy Score display. All keybindings are fully configurable through the options menu. Special hold note mechanics require sustained pressure on white-extended circles followed by precise release timing.

Adjustable Difficulty & Beginner Recommendations

Customize your challenge level dynamically with the Tempo setting that controls song playback speed. New players should begin with "Anemone on Beginner" - the simplest included beatmap where all songs are organized progressively from easiest to hardest difficulty. Press P during gameplay for instant map termination when needed.

Custom Content Creation Support

Import your personal osu! mania beatmaps by converting .osu files through the map manager sprite system. Ensure audio and background filenames match the AudioFileName parameter from your .osu configuration. While this browser version delivers authentic osu! mania mechanics, the original developers recommend downloading the official osu! client for the complete rhythm gaming experience.
