Scratch - Osu Engine: Browser-Based Rhythm Game

Welcome to Scratch - osu engine, an early-access recreation of the classic rhythm game built within the Scratch environment. This public release captures the essence of osu! with its core gameplay elements: timing-based circle clicks, satisfying hitsounds, and challenging spinners. While sliders were omitted from this version due to persistent technical issues, the game delivers a functional and engaging experience for fans looking to play osu! directly in their browser.

Gameplay & Controls

The controls are straightforward and customizable: move your mouse to guide the cursor across the screen, and hit the approaching circles using either the Z key, X key, or the left mouse button. A unique visual twist is the spinner mechanic, represented by an anime girl icon. Watch as her opacity increases; a fully opaque image signals that you've successfully cleared the spinner.

Project Notes & Value

This project is a testament to community-driven development, acknowledged by the developer's note, "Glory to Arstotzka." It serves as both a playable game and a foundational tool for those interested in the mechanics of rhythm game creation on the Scratch platform. Please note this is an early release, with future updates like example songs considered but limited by project size constraints.
