Audio 432pro with Catgirls: Because Why Not?
Okay so first things first: I'm brand new to this. Like, just downloaded it today new. The geometric visuals are... a lot. Pretty but confusing. And this level is called "audio 432pro - kawaii-catgirl-gif.png" which like... what does that even mean? Audio something, pro something, and catgirls? Sure.
I'm in a focused practice session though. Like, really trying to get better at one specific difficult section. Not the whole level, just that one part that keeps tripping me up. Over and over and over.
*Therapist voice* Let's talk about frustration management. You're aiming for a No-Fail run on what might be a hardest-difficulty chart, which is... ambitious for a new player. Let's set some realistic goals first. Maybe just clear it once? Then work on consistency? Baby steps.
This track has that "endless runner" illusion thing going on. Like, it feels like it could loop forever seamlessly. The visuals flow into each other in a way that makes it hard to tell where one pattern ends and another begins. Kinda hypnotic actually.
But then there's sections that are almost... minimalist? Like, hardly any visuals at all. Forcing you to rely purely on audio. Which is terrifying when you're new and still learning how to listen for cues. Minimalist nightmare is right.
Feels experimental though. Like, someone was trying something new here. The catgirl theme, the audio focus, the weird name... it's different. Maybe it'll become a new trend? Or maybe it'll just be that one weird level everyone remembers.
And again with the tracks that are playable sound-off! Just visual pulses guiding you. That really is the mark of great design. When the geometry speaks louder than the music.
So as a new player, I have questions: What are the minimum system requirements anyway? Like, can my crappy laptop even run this properly? What's considered a "beginner" level in ADOFAI? Because this doesn't feel beginner. And has ADOFAI been featured in any notable media or events? Like, do people talk about it outside of the game itself?
The kawaii catgirl thing is... a choice. Not sure if it helps or distracts. The anime aesthetic is cute I guess? But does it make the rhythm patterns easier to read? Probably not. Does it make failing slightly less painful? Maybe. A little.
Focused practice continues. One section at a time. Deep breaths. Therapist says to take breaks. Therapist is probably right.
But just one more try first. With catgirls watching. Judging. Always judging.
