ADOFAI - more testing
ADOFAI "more testing": For When You're Done With Other Rhythm Games
Okay so I was BURNT OUT. Like, proper done with rhythm games. Played too much osu!, too much Geometry Dash, too much everything. Fingers hurt, brain tired, ready to quit the whole genre. Then I found this "more testing" level. The name alone - so unassuming. Just... testing. More of it.
Played it late at night, lights off, headphones on. Maximum immersion. And you know what? It was exactly what I needed. No pressure to be perfect, no leaderboards to climb, just... testing. More testing.
As someone recovering from burnout, I'm not looking for the hardest challenge. I'm looking for stuff that matches my vibe. My aesthetic. My... taste, I guess. This level gets that. It's experimental but not obnoxious. Testing but not tedious.
AND THEN IT HAPPENED. You know the one. That "one more try" at like 3AM that turns into... sunrise. You look outside and it's light out. You've been playing for HOURS. But you finally got it. SUNRISE VICTORY BABY!!!
AAAAAHHHHHHH!!! LET'S GOOOOOO!!!!
Sorry, hype-man mode activated. But seriously, that feeling? Unbeatable. The sleep deprivation, the sore eyes, the triumphant clear as the sun comes up. Nothing like it.
You know what's also cool? Finding comments from people stuck on the exact same note as you. Like, you're suffering alone at 4AM and then you see someone else was like "stuck on this spin for two days" and you're like... solidarity, brother. We're in this together.
And those moments when everything just... aligns? The planet moves perfectly with a swell in the music, creating something beautiful you know the designer didn't even plan? Magic. Pure, unintended, beautiful magic.
So questions while we're hyped: How does ADOFAI's skill ceiling compare to other rhythm games anyway? Like, is it higher? Lower? Different? And how do you actually manage frustration and avoid tilting when you're stuck on something for hours? Asking for a friend. Who may or may not have broken a keyboard once.
"more testing" is perfect for when you're coming back from burnout. It's low-pressure, aesthetically interesting, and might just suck you in for a sunrise session. Just... maybe set an alarm. Or don't. Live your life.
TESTING COMPLETE. VICTORY ACHIEVED. NOW SLEEP.
