So I'm streaming right? Like, live. People watching, chatting, the whole thing. And I decide to try this level called "Please click the button if you like me". The name alone is... something. Desperate? Honest? Both?
I'm a speedrunner at heart. Always trying to shave off milliseconds, find optimal routes, beat records. But today I'm also messing with mods. Like, what if I change the visuals completely? What if I make everything neon pink? Does it help? Does it hurt? Experiment time.
And as I play, I'm trying to be... poetic about it? Like, describing the emotional journey instead of just the gameplay. It's harder than it sounds.
The track in this level does this thing where it rotates AND moves sideways at the same time. It's... disorienting. But beautiful in a "I might throw up" kind of way. Like a carnival ride designed by a mathematician with questionable intentions.
And the colors shift with the BPM changes. Like, you can literally see the rhythm. Blue for slow sections, red for fast parts, purple for... confusion? It's a visual language you have to learn. Took me a while to realize what each color meant.
This level feels like a palette cleanser, you know? Like, it's placed between two harder levels in some imaginary playlist. Simple, pretty, forgiving. A breather. A moment to reset before the next monster track destroys you.
The camera work is interesting too. When it zooms out to show you the whole pattern, when it pans to follow the planet, when it rotates to match the spin... it's like the level is directing its own movie. And you're just the actor trying to hit your marks.
Honestly, this feels experimental. Like the creator was trying something new. And it... works? It might even start a trend if enough people see it. Experimental tracks that succeed are the best kind.
Random stream thoughts: Does ADOFAI even HAVE multiplayer? Like, could two people play together? That'd be chaos. And is this game okay for kids? Like, what age range are we talking? Also how big is the download anyway? And do custom skins actually mess with performance or is that just a myth?
"Please click the button if you like me" is... an experience. It's interactive in a weird emotional way. As a speedrunner streaming live with mods, it's a different kind of challenge. Not just about speed, but about... feeling? Understanding? Connecting?
