Press P at any time to instantly quit the current map. Every single control key is fully remappable in the comprehensive options menu, allowing you to find your perfect setup.
Extensive Customization: Skins & Colors
Personalize your playfield extensively. The game supports custom skins—you can edit the built-in sprites or import assets directly from your favorite osu! skins (note: receptor images need cropping to 176 pixels height from the bottom). For quick color changes, use the built-in skin color option with codes like 25500 for dark orange, 100149237 for indigo purple, or 2232550 for lime, among 13 other predefined options.
The Ultimate Feature: Import Your Own Beatmaps
This is where the remix shines for creators. You can import your own 4K osu!mania beatmaps. Here’s the streamlined process:
- Remix the project and locate the ‘Map Master’ sprite.
- Prepare your .osu file: Open it from the osu! editor, copy its contents, and use a text tool to add
/n to the end of every line for Scratch compatibility.
- Import the formatted data using the code blocks in the ‘Map Master’ sprite.
- Add the corresponding song audio and background image to the background sprite, ensuring filenames match.
- Create a new outfit in the ‘Song Button’ sprite named in the “Title//Version” format to display your map in the song selection screen.
To add new complete skin sets, create sprites following the “(skin-name)-(sprite-name)” naming convention and edit the ‘Option Note Skin’ sprite to include them.
