Osu Mania V4 v8

Osu Mania V4 v8: Customizable 4-Key Rhythm Game Online

Experience the precision and speed of osu!mania online with Osu Mania V4 v8. This browser-based game delivers authentic 4-key (4K) rhythm gameplay where notes cascade down columns for you to hit in sync with the music. Beyond playing, it empowers you to import your own beatmaps and create custom skins, offering a deeply personalized rhythm game experience.

Gameplay & Controls

Challenge your reflexes with straightforward yet demanding mechanics:

4-Key Layout: Notes descend down four columns. Hit them using the default keys D, F, J, and K as they reach the receptor line.
Hold Notes: Press and hold the key for the duration of elongated notes, releasing at the end.
Fully Rebindable: All gameplay keys can be changed in the options to suit your preference.
Quick Exit: Press P at any time to quit the current map instantly.
Visual Customization: Use provided RGB color codes (e.g., 25500 for dark orange, 2232550 for lime) to change the skin's color theme.

Add Your Own osu! Mania Beatmaps

Unlock endless content by importing maps from your local osu! library. You need a 4K osu!mania beatmap to start.

Remix the project to gain editing access.
Clear existing maps and resources from the relevant sprites and lists.
Locate your beatmap's .osu file via osu!'s editor ("Open Song Folder").
Copy the file's entire content, then add "/n" to the end of every line using a text tool (a linked online tool is suggested) to format it for Scratch.
Import this formatted text into the "Map Master" sprite using its code blocks.
Upload your song audio and background image to the "background" sprite, ensuring filenames match the AudioFileName in the .osu data.
Create a new outfit in the "Song Button" sprite named in the format "Title//Version" to add your map to the selection menu.

Create & Import Custom Skins

Tailor the game's visuals to your taste:

Edit Existing Sprites: Modify the note, receptor, and other sprites within the "game" sprite to change appearances.
Use osu! Assets: You can directly import image files from standard osu! skins. Note: Receptor images must be cropped to a 176-pixel height from the bottom to align correctly.
Add New Skin Sets: To add a complete new skin, create new sprites following the naming pattern "(skin-name)-(sprite-name)". Then, edit the "Option Note Skin" sprite to register and make your new skin selectable in-game.

This combination of deep customization and authentic mania gameplay makes Osu Mania V4 v8 a powerful and flexible platform for rhythm game fans.
