Rhythm Game Engine: A Technical osu!mania Project

This project represents the creator's second exploration into osu!mania content, focusing on the technical workings of a rhythm game engine. It utilizes a unique position-based judgment system where notes are scored based on their alignment with the receptor rather than precise timing, guaranteeing a fixed scroll speed throughout the map.

Gameplay & Challenge

Players use the Arrow Keys to hit notes as they approach, with a humorous alternative "big lazy" strategy of simply holding all keys. The map is set to the challenging song "Ultimate Ascension" by Camellia (originally from Touhou), and comes with a creator score of 5,290 to beat. Importantly, the note placement was automated via block spawning, not done manually.

Technical Notes & Credits

This is a PC-only experience built using an engine credited to @CgBB_test and @Cutie-3234. Players should note a couple of known bugs: the score display may not always update correctly, and the final note can sometimes appear frozen. This project is ideal for players curious about rhythm game mechanics and development behind the scenes.
