ScratchMania ALPHA TEST

ScratchMania ALPHA TEST: A Stepmania & osu!Mania Inspired Project

ScratchMania ALPHA TEST represents an evolving fusion of two rhythm game giants: the structured charting of Stepmania and the visual style of osu!Mania. Currently in its Alpha development phase, this browser-based game offers a glimpse into a community-driven project's growth.

Gameplay & Controls

Players use the A, S, K, and L keys on their keyboard to correspond with the falling notes or arrows, offering a classic 4-key rhythm game challenge. The core mechanics include tracking your combo and score, with later updates introducing a vital HP (Health Point) system for added stakes.

Development & Update History

The game's active development is highlighted through its public update log:

Alpha Launch (Jan 14, 2019): Promoted from "PRE-ALPHA," featuring a new menu background and teasing future songs like "Shelter" by Porter Robinson and Madeon.
New Years Update (Jan 5, 2019): Introduced the HP system and expanded Settings with better scroll speed controls, a note color changer, and HP options.
First Update (Nov 24, 2018): Launched foundational features including the settings menu, combo/score display, and the first demo song, "Ultimate Ascension" by Camellia.

This chronological progression from a basic demo to a game with health management and visual customization options demonstrates a clear development path. ScratchMania ALPHA TEST is ideal for players interested in experiencing and following the journey of a rhythm game as it expands its feature set and song library.
