ADOFAI level 1
Level 1: Where Geometry Meets... Strategy?
Okay so I'm mostly here for the visuals. Like, the geometric art stuff. So pretty. Saw "level 1" and figured it's where I start. Basic, right? Wrong. Nothing is basic here apparently.
Trying to play this in a coffee shop or something. Busy, loud, but headphones on. Trying to focus through the noise. Strategic thinking: how do I actually get better at rhythm from this? Like, real world improvement. Not just gaming skills.
Tools, mods, third-party tech. That's the angle here. Like, what external stuff makes this work better? Or makes me better at it? Strategy time.
First thing: learn the ADOFAI to English dictionary. "Fun" means brutal. "Chill" means deceptively hard. "Short" means concentrated pain. Good to know. Adjust expectations accordingly.
Kinda cool watching maps evolve through feedback though. Like, they start impossible, get beta-tested, become... merely inhuman. Progress? I guess?
There's this rhythm game solidarity thing. ADOFAI players acknowledging other games' pain. Like, "yeah your game is hard too, I feel you." Mutual suffering respect.
And those zoom-out moments? When you realize the track you've been struggling with is just a tiny part of some massive shape? Mind-blowing. Perspective shift.
Strategic questions: What ARE collaborative community projects in ADOFAI? Like, people work together on levels? How does that even work? And what computer do I need for the level editor? Like, if I wanna make my own geometric art thing? Also what's the long-term plan for this whole ADOFAI universe? Where's it going?
Level 1 is... more than level 1. It's an introduction to a whole mindset. Geometric art meets rhythm training meets strategy. Play it in noisy places. Use it to actually improve timing. Think about tools and mods.
Or just enjoy the pretty shapes. That's valid too.
Strategy session over. Time to actually... you know, play the level. Or strategize some more. Hard to decide.
