WIP ADOFAI - Neo Cosmos T1 Updated Design
WIP ADOFAI Neo Cosmos T1: When Flow State Meets Arcade Buttons
So I'm one of those weirdos who uses ADOFAI as like... interactive meditation? Like, getting into that flow state where everything else disappears and it's just you and the rhythm. This Neo Cosmos T1 thing caught my eye because... well, "neo cosmos" sounds spacey and cool.
And get this - I'm playing it with a freaking ARCADE BUTTON. Like, one of those big clicky ones you'd find in an actual arcade cabinet. Feels completely different from a keyboard. More... physical? Substantial? I dunno, it's fun though.
It's a WIP (work in progress) level with "updated design" which means... it's probably changed a bunch since the first version. Which makes sense because creating levels is an iterative process. You make something, test it, hate it, change it, repeat.
I've been experimenting with mods lately too. Like, visual mods that change how everything looks, audio mods that tweak the sounds... it's cool to see how different the same level can feel with just a few adjustments.
Alright, critic mode engaged: This level is... interesting. The cosmic theme works well, the patterns flow nicely, but it definitely feels like a work in progress. Some sections are polished, others feel a bit rough. But that's the charm of WIP stuff, right? You get to see the creation process.
And speaking of creation - this game is really just a dialogue, you know? Between the player and the creator, with music and math as the language. Wild concept when you think about it.
That moment when skill becomes unconscious though? Magical. When you're not thinking about what to press, you're just... doing it. Your hands know what to do before your brain does. That's the flow state right there.
The game basically asks "can you become an instrument?" And then proceeds to make it INCREDIBLY HARD to actually do that. Thanks, game.
At least it's fair though. Like, deterministic. If you fail, it's on you. The level didn't change, the game didn't cheat. Your victory means something because you earned it. Your failure is... also yours. No one else to blame.
Random critique questions: Does ADOFAI even HAVE multiplayer or local co-op? Like, can two people play together? And is this game actually suitable for kids? What age range are we talking? Also how big is the download anyway? Like, should I clear space on my hard drive?
Neo Cosmos T1 is a decent WIP level for getting into that flow state, especially if you've got some weird controller to try it with. The cosmic vibes help with the meditation aspect, and experimenting with mods can make each playthrough feel fresh. Just remember it's a work in progress - bugs and rough edges are part of the package.
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go find more things to plug my arcade button into...
