soldier game LLSIF: A Pure Shot of Nostalgia, No Gacha Required
Alright, let’s cut to the chase. If you're coming from polished mobile rhythm games like Cytus or Deemo, soldier game LLSIF will feel... different. It's not a full game. It won't hold your hand. It's a single, focused piece of archival instinct: someone saving replays and scores like precious artifacts of the Love Live! School Idol Festival era. This is a direct, no-frills simulation of playing the iconic "soldier game" chart. For veterans, that's exactly the appeal.
What You're Actually Getting: One song. Five difficulties. That's it. And that's perfect. It covers the full classic spread:
- Easy (5★)
- Normal (7★)
- Hard (9★)
- Expert (11★)
- Master (12★)
The goal is clear: find and conquer your favorite difficulty. It's a stark contrast to the endless menus and energy systems of modern mobile games, and that focus can be really refreshing during a 30-minute break.
Key Info Before You Play (Read This!):
- To save your highscore, you need to be a Scratcher (a registered Scratch user). Otherwise, it's a pure test session.
- For a decent load time and smooth gameplay, enable Turbo Mode by shift-clicking the green flag. Trust me on this.
- The controls are NOT standard osu! mapping. You can click the 9 buttons with your mouse, but note that the "space" key is included in the key layout. Good luck if you're playing with sound muted and relying on pure visual rhythm!
The mapping community has its own lingo—"flow", "spacing", "rhythmic emphasis". This project feels like an exercise in that language, a translation of a mobile chart to a new medium. There's always a bit of old guard vs new generation tension when old games get ported, but here, the respect for the source material is clear. It’s a niche, specific kind of fun. If you want more, the creator points to a whole studio of other LLSIF beatmaps. For everyone else, this is a sharp, concentrated dose of a very particular rhythm game memory.
