ADOFAI 9-X but camera movements
ADOFAI 9-X but camera movements
You know 9-X. Everyone who"s played ADOFAI for more than five minutes knows 9-X. That level that separates the "I play rhythm games" folks from the "I suffer for fun" masochists. So someone decided to make it HARDER. Or weirder. Or both.
"But camera movements" - that"s the twist. The track doesn"t just sit there nicely while you tap. Oh no. It zooms, it pans, it rotates the whole view. Just when you think you"ve got the rhythm down, the camera yanks your perspective somewhere else and suddenly you"re lost.
Played this late at night, dark room, and man... when the camera suddenly pulls way back and you see the whole structure? Or zooms in so close you can"t see what"s coming? It"s equal parts awesome and infuriating. The original 9-X was already a test of endurance. This version feels like the track itself is messing with you personally.
There"s something about the camera work here - when and how it decides to shift the view. Sometimes it helps, showing you the bigger pattern. Mostly it just adds another layer of "what the heck is happening" to an already difficult level. First playthrough was a disaster. Second was slightly less of a disaster. Maybe by attempt fifty I"ll get past the first checkpoint.
Thoughts while my brain tries to process this:
- Why would anyone do this to 9-X? It was already mean enough.
- The sudden zooms actually mess with my sense of timing more than the rotations.
- Kinda respect the creativity though. Taking a known thing and adding a new twist.
- Feels like playing a different game at times. Or like 9-X through a funhouse mirror.
If you"ve beaten original 9-X and want to feel like a beginner again, here you go. If you haven"t beaten 9-X... maybe don"t start with this version. Just a suggestion.
