ADOFAI All 15 Extra Worlds XM done swirls fixed with purple and teal orbs
All 15 Extra Worlds: Because One World Wasn't Enough
Okay the title is a mouthful: "ADOFAI All 15 Extra Worlds XM done swirls fixed with purple and teal orbs". Like, what does that even mean? XM? Swirls fixed? Purple AND teal? Sounds like someone's design notes got left in the title. But hey, 15 worlds! That's... a lot.
As someone who makes content (read: I stream sometimes, badly), I'm always looking for stuff that's engaging but also... educational? Like, I wanna learn how to make my own levels eventually. So playing through a whole pack like this is actually useful. See what works, what doesn't, what makes a level fun vs frustrating.
I've been doing focused practice sessions. Like, I'll pick one specific difficult section and just... grind it. No trying to clear the whole thing, just that one part. Over and over. It's meditative in a masochistic way.
Analytical brain time: Timing breakdown. The purple and teal orbs thing is actually a clever visual cue. Teal = normal beat, purple = off-beat or something? Not sure but the color coding helps once you figure it out. The "swirls fixed" part... no idea what was broken before. But they're fixed now! Yay?
It's wild though - when a new monster map drops, someone usually beats it within 48 hours. Like, how? Do these people have nothing else to do? (Says me, playing ADOFAI at 3AM.)
Finishing a level with a bunch of misses feels so... empty. False victory. You did it but you also kinda didn't? The real challenge is going back and doing it clean. Which I probably won't because there are 14 other worlds to get through.
Some of these track segments are so beautiful (or cruel) that I've actually screenshotted them for wallpapers. Like, yeah this geometric pattern destroyed me 30 times but it LOOKS cool on my desktop.
And when you play a level enough times, you start noticing weird stuff. Like, "oh the hi-hat in this song is mixed too loud" or "the bass drop doesn't line up with the visual cue". You become a weird music critic based entirely on tap points.
Questions while we're analyzing: How DOES the combo system work? Like, if I break combo on world 7 does it affect my overall score for all 15 worlds? Or is it per world? And what makes for good level design for learning? Like, what should I keep in mind if I ever make my own 15-world pack? Also what computer specs do I actually need for ADOFAI to handle 15 worlds without melting?
This pack is... comprehensive. If you're a content creator or aspiring level designer, it's a great resource. See what works, what doesn't, and get inspired by the purple and teal orbs. Whatever XM means.
15 worlds. 15 times the suffering. Have fun!
