ADOFAI Custom - Tuxedo Lightsaber Battle W.I.P
Tuxedo Lightsaber Battle W.I.P: When Fancy Meets Confusing
Okay so im like brand new to this whole ADOFAI thing. Like, literally just downloaded it yesterday. Saw this "Tuxedo Lightsaber Battle W.I.P" and was like... what? Tuxedo? Lightsabers? Work in progress? Count me in I guess.
Got 15 minutes between Zoom meetings or whatever, figure I'll try it. First impression: wow the visuals are... a lot. Like, someone put effort into making this look fancy. Tuxedo patterns? Glowy lightsaber trails? It's like a Star Wars formal wedding or something.
But here's the thing - I wanna actually talk about this level somewhere. Like, leave a comment. Be part of the community. Not just play and disappear. So I'm paying attention, trying to notice stuff.
Detective mode activated: So the visual tricks here are... interesting. Like, the way the path moves with the lightsaber swooshes? Sometimes it's helpful, sometimes it's distracting. There's this one section where the background has these tuxedo stripe things that kinda line up with the rhythm? Or maybe they don't? I can't tell if it's helping or tricking me.
And omg the ADOFAI community's idea of "easy" is WILD. Like, I saw someone say a level was "easy" and then mention it only takes 40 hours of practice to clear. FORTY HOURS. That's a full work week! For "easy"! What even.
Speedrunners are another breed too. They're out here optimizing frame-perfect skips and movement stuff. Meanwhile I'm just trying to press the button at the right time. Different universe.
There's this meme about ADOFAI therapy. Like, "the game isn't the problem, it's your relationship with it." Honestly? Might be onto something. Maybe I need to chill and just enjoy the fancy lightsabers.
Kinda cool though how ADOFAI stuff influences other games. Like, mapping techniques spreading around. Cultural osmosis or whatever.
And why does my foot get the rhythm before my finger does? Like, my foot is tapping perfectly but my hand is still messing up. Get it together, body.
So detective questions: How many official levels are there anyway? Like, what am I getting into here? And how does this compare to actually learning rhythm properly? Like, with a metronome or whatever? Also do I need a fancy high refresh rate monitor for this? My laptop screen is probably basic. And at high levels, do people actually watch the screen or just listen?
This Tuxedo Lightsaber thing is... an experience. Fancy, confusing, work-in-progress. Good for killing 15 minutes while feeling like you're solving a visual puzzle. Might leave a comment saying "nice lightsabers" or something. Baby steps into the community.
Back to work. Or... one more detective session?
